ON SEPTEMBER 21ST AROUND 5AM, A VICTIM LEFT HIS FORD EXPLORER RUNNING AS HE PARKED AND ENTERED THE MARATHON STATION LOCATED AT 313 W NEW CIRCLE ROAD.  AN UNKNOWN MALE BLACK LEF THE STORE AND WAS LOITERING OUTSIDE THE BUSINESS.  HE USED THE OPPORTUNITY TO STEAL THE VICTIM’S VEHICLE.  IT WAS RECOVERED THE FOLLOWING DAY BUT WAS NOT IN POSSESSION OF THE PERSON WHO STOLE IT.

ON JULY 25TH, LOSS PREVENTION WORKERS AT KROGER ON BRYAN STATION ROAD ATTEMPTED TO STOP A SHOPLIFTER PUSHING OUT LAUNDRY DETERGENT AND RELATED PRODUCTS PAST ALL POINTS OF SALE.  THE SUSPECT FOUGHT WITH LOSS PREVENTION OFFICERS AND WAS ABLE TO FLEE THE SCENE.  THE SUSPECT HAS A DISTINGUISHABLE TATTOO ON HIS RIGHT HAND.

9/25/2017 - Target Vacuum Thefts

ON APRIL 9TH, 10TH, AND 12TH OF THIS YEAR, A SUBJECT ENTERED TARGET LOCATED AT 131 W REYNOLDS ROAD AND WALKED OUT WITH 4 DYSON AND BISSELL VACUUMS ALTOGETHER VALUED AT $1750.  HE LATER RETURNED ON JUNE 16TH BUT DID NOT GET AWAY WITH ANY MERCHANDISE.  HE IS DESCRIBED AS MALE WHITE 6’-6’4” 220-250LBS.  HE MAY HAVE FLED IN A BROWN OR BLACK MINIVAN MISSING A FRONT HUBCAP.  THE SUSPECT ALSO HAS A TATTOO OF A SKULL ON HIS LEFT FOREARM.

FROM MAY OF 2017 TO SEPTEMBER 11, 2017 AN UNKNOWN MALE HAS BEEN IMPACTING LOCAL AREA BUSINESSES THROUGH SHOPLIFTING EXPENSIVE ITEMS.  THIS SUSPECT HAS STOLEN OR ATTEMPTED TO STEAL YETI COOLERS, FLAT SCREEN TELEVISIONS, AND APPROXIMATELY $1000 IN POLO BRAND CLOTHING.  HE HAS IMPACTED ALL AREAS OF LEXINGTON INCLUDING FAYETTE MALL AND HAMBURG AND HAS SHOPLIFTED FROM MEIJER, CABELAS, SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE, AND MACYS.

ON AUGUST 21ST AT 4AM AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT BROKE INTO THE SPEEDWAY STATION LOCATED AT 246 SOUTHLAND DRIVE AND STOLE 2 ROLLS OF LOTTERY TICKETS BUT WAS UNABLE TO CASH THEM SUCCESSFULLY.  A WEEK LATER ON AUGUST 30TH AT 4AM DETECTIVES BELIEVE THE SAME SUSPECT BROKE INTO THE MARATHON STATION LOCATED AT 531 SOUTHLAND DRIVE.  THIS TIME, HE STOLE ONLY CARTONS OF CIGARETTES.  AN IMAGE WAS CAPTURED OF A SUSPECT ATTEMPTING TO CASH THE TICKETS.

9/4/2017 - Lexington Cemetery Larceny

IN THE MID AFTERNOON OF JULY 3RD, A VICTIM WAS VISITING THE GRAVE OF HER FATHER AT THE LEXINGTON CEMETERY.  SHE RETURNED TO HER CAR TO DISCOVER SOMEONE HAD STOLEN HER PURSE AND ALL OF HER PERSONAL AFFECTS INCLUDING HER CREDIT CARDS.  A SHORT TIME LATER, HER CARD WAS FRAUDULENTLY USED AT THE MARATHON STATION LOCATED AT 1900 NEWTOWN PIKE.  THE SUSPECT WAS CAUGHT ON CAMERA AT THE FUEL PUMP.

IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF AUGUST 15TH, EMPLOYEES OF THE ALLSTATE INSURANCE AGENCY LOCATED AT 2465 NICHOLASVILLE ROAD ARRIVED TO WORK TO FIND THE FRONT DOOR UNLOCKED AND THEIR OFFICES IN DISARRAY.   THEY SOON DISCOVERED SOMEONE HAD THROWN A BRICK THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW OF THE BUSINESS.  IT IS UNCLEAR WHAT THE SUSPECT WAS SEARCHING FOR.  IMAGES OF THE SUSPECT WERE CAPTURED ON CAMERA.

AT AROUND 5:20AM ON AUGUST 11TH, EMPLOYEES WERE PREPARING FOOD PRIOR TO OPENING AT THE BURGER KING LOCATED AT 2548 RICHMOND ROAD.  THEY SUDDENLY HEARD A LOUD CRASH AND REALIZED SOMEONE HAD JUST BROKEN A GLASS DOOR AND ENTERED THE BUSINESS.  THE BURGLAR WENT STRAIGHT FOR THE COOKIE DISPLAY AND REMOVED IT FROM THE COUNTER.  HE CARRIED IT OUT OF THE BUSINESS WHERE HE DROPPED IT AND FLED ON FOOT.

ON APRIL 7TH AROUND 2PM, A COUPLE WITH AN INFANT ENTERED THE CASTLE LOCATED AT 210 W NEW CIRCLE ROAD.  THE MALE SUSPECT ASKED TO TRY ON SEVERAL ROLEX WATCHES AND WAS ABLE TO CONFUSE THE CLERK.  HE POCKETED AN 18 CARAT GOLD ROLEX WRIST WATCH AND AN 18 CARAT GOLD WATCH BEZEL WORTH IN EXCESS OF $10,000.  THE THEFT WAS NOT REALIZED UNTIL AFTER THE SUSPECT HAD EXITED THE BUSINESS.

8/7/2017 - Douglas Jordan Cold Case

IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF JUNE 9TH 2016, THE VICTIM DOUGLAS JORDAN WAS LEAVING THE TIN ROOF RESTAURANT AND WALKING WITH A FRIEND ALONG EAST MAXWELL STREET.  AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT DESCRIBED ONLY AS MALE BLACK APPROACHED THE COUPLE AND SHOT THE VICTIM FROM BEHIND.  MR. JORDAN SUCCUMBED TO HIS INJURIES THE FOLLOWING DAY.
